Haven’t seen much real news out of training camp (or least nothing unexpected), so here is a short quiz about some of the key figures for the Cowboys:
CORRECTION #1: I cannot correct these flash quizzes on the site that houses them (really need to buy the program so that I can). One question asks when the last time that the Cowboys opened against a division rival. The correct answer is 2000, but the quiz marks 2001 as the correct answer. I apologize for the mistake.
CORRECTION #2: No attention to detail on this one, apparently– thankfully Melonball still reads this site. Anthony Spencer had 10.5 sacks in 2006, but had 27 in his career. The question about him is wrong on this quiz.

Wow, not just one but two of the answers are totally wrong. The Cowboys last opened against a division rival in 2000 against the Eagles, not 2001 which was against Tampa Bay. And Anthony Spencer had 27 career sacks at Purdue, not just 10.5.
Searching but finding no excuse for the error about Spencer. Wow, that was dumb of me.
No wonder you weren’t very enthused about drafting him, if you thought that’s all he had accomplished.
I tried to find where I thought I read that, but it was just a very dumb mistake on my part.
Now that Ellis isn’t looking like he’ll be back at 100% (or perhaps back at all), the Spencer pick is looking better. I’m curious to see what happens to Carpenter, but that move may have turned out much better than I thought.
That said, we are very thin at receiver in terms of proven talent. One injury to Glenn, Owens, or Witten could really hurt, unless someone steps up. I still would have like to have seen a receiver taken higher for this reason, but I’m certainly not above saying I was wrong if that is the case.
VERY GOOD QUIZ I THOUGHT I KNEW ALOT ABOUT MY BOYS BUT I SEE THERE IS ALWAYS MORE TO LEARN GO COWBOYS!!!
