Not quite as easy to run a Cowboys blog from a hotel room in Kansas City on Thanksgiving, but I think I get a C for effort. Fortunately, this was as dominant of a performance as we have seen from the Cowboys, as the Jets were never really in this game. Dallas raced to a 21-0 lead and cruised to a 34-3 win.
And this brings us to the Cowboys-Packers game next Thursday. Green Bay had another strong performance at Detroit, beating the Lions 37-26 earlier in the day.
The story from NFL.com:
It was over when …
Jets QB Kellen Clemens misfired on 10 throws in a row and the Jets were forced to punt for the fourth time in the second half. Seven plays later, Romo connected with Terrell Owens for his second touchdown pass of the game, putting Dallas up 34-3. The Cowboys are off to their first 10-1 start in team history.Game balls
The Cowboys’ defense shares the honor as it held the Jets to just 180 yards and now has a takeaway in 14 straight games dating back to last season. CB Terence Newman intercepted Clemens in the first half, returning it 50 yards for a touchdown. On offense, QB Tony Romo led a conservative Cowboys attack, completing 21 of 28 passes for 195 yards and 2 touchdowns. Romo has 29 TD passes on the season, tying a franchise record.Key stat
The Jets had just nine first downs in the game and converted only 2-of-14 third downs. The Jets also trailed in time of possession by nearly 15 minutes.Noteworthy
The Jets hadn’t played on Thanksgiving since 1985. … The Cowboys have hosted a Thanksgiving game in 41 of the last 43 years (and every year since 1978). … The Cowboys have won two straight Thanksgiving games for the first time since winning three straight from 1994-96. … The Jets are 0-5 on the road this season. … The Cowboys have scored 24-plus points in 12 straight games…. Romo and T.O. have connected for a TD 23 times, the most since the start of the 2006 season.
Just a few notes from today’s game:
* Newman’s pick-six in the second quarter was the first of his career. His previous touchdown came on a punt return in 2006.
* Marion Barber’s 24 TDs since the start of 2006 are second to only LaDainian Tomlinson’s 41 (from NFL.com)
* Dallas committed only two penalties for 10 yards. This was the same total that the Cowboys had against the Rams earlier this year, and represent a season low both in terms of number of penalties and in terms of yardage.
* The Cowboys held the ball for 37:52 seconds. The Cowboys season average is 31:08.
* Marion Barber rushed for 103 yards on 18 carries, his second 100 yard game of the season and third of his career.
* Though Barber led the team, Julius Jones still outrushed his brother, Thomas, 64 to 40.
* Greg Ellis now has 8.5 sacks this season, just a half-sack behind DeMarcus Ware.

Me being the Jets fan that I am, after the first half I had to change the channel and get some more turkey. Congrats to the Cowboys… We’ll see whos for real in the NFC when the Pack come to town
