Jerry the GM thought we were one player away when he traded two first round picks for Joey Galloway, remember?

Jerry can't be held responsible for Galloway's subsequent injury, and of course Galloway regained his elite receiver status after he left Dallas.

Still, one wonders how much of a difference those two first rounders would've made as long as Jerry is calling the shots . . .

Bull_Shirt: I completely agree with your comments. I would be surprised if we sank to 5-11 next year, but another 9-7 season would not surprise me. I just don't think this team is a quick fix away from any sort of title-- the selfishness outweighs the talent by a large margin.

Thanks for the link, Rock. I would suspect that Garrett is gone; if not, he needs someone to keep him in check next year.

It is indeed a sad state of affairs. Reading one blog after another, there are even fans having heated discussions about this or that. Arguements and name calling going on everywhere. It's amazing. Most agree that JJ should surrender his GM duties to someone more knowledgeable. He won't because it's this kind of publicity he loves. He's said as much.
Wade says he will be more "demanding" and holding people accountable. It's kind of late for that now. When they went for that 4th and inches, and Wade wanted to punt, Romo took charge and decided to make that decision and go for it. Who's the coach here? No authority, no one being held accountable, no self discipline at all. When Pacman got in trouble for the thing with his bodyguard, did JJ do anything?.....No. He waited and let the league handle it. What does that show to these other guys?
These guys are professionals....they don't have to talk to each other, or hang around......but they do have a job to do, and they're not doing it and getting tons of money for it. Guess this can be a tax write off for JJ.
Bill Parcells last year......9-7...then 13-3........9-7 again.......what's next?..5-11? Each time a 4 game difference. Guess we will find out.
